Combining 50 years of Chiropractic and Podiatric experience to improve spinal correction outcomes.
While operating a successful, high volume, cash practice in New Jersey, Dr. Joseph J. Frasco, the founder of Accuthotix, became increasingly aware of the role that abnormal foot deformities played in spinal correction outcomes.
|
In an effort to optimize outcomes for his patients, Dr. Frasco began researching and studying relevant scientific materials while simultaneously reviewing and testing existing orthotic products and services.
|
During the course of his information gathering, Dr. Frasco encountered a great deal of confusion and frustration with the often conflicting information and substandard products and services being offered to Doctors of Chiropractic by various orthotic labs. He also discovered that within the Chiropractic Community itself there was a profound lack of information and understanding as to how to properly evaluate the foot and prescribe quality orthotics.
As he continued his research, Dr. Frasco moved from lab to lab in search of the type of foot orthotic he believed would have the most positive impact on spinal correction outcomes. While attending a Pedorthic Foot Association (PFA) Symposium, Dr. Frasco met a Pedorthist who had practiced over 26 years making podiatric grade orthotics.
The Pedorthist shared with Dr. Frasco his frustration in communicating to Chiropractors on how to properly evaluate the feet and prescribe podiatric grade foot orthotics. Dr. Frasco then expressed his frustration with the quality of the orthotics being prescribed by most Chiropractors. As Dr. Frasco and the Pedorthist continued their dialogue they realized they had similar goals as well as similar frustrations.
After several subsequent meetings where they exchanged ideas and combined their expertise, they created Accuthotix -- the first orthotics company whose mission is to educate and assist Doctors of Chiropractic in optimizing spinal correction outcomes by using custom molded, fully functional, podiatric grade orthotics.
